Tonight, when the lightning flashes, the srnoke clears and the echoing of thunder fades, the Genie of CAMPUS THUNDER '54 will again bring forward his wonderous powers in creating two and one-half hours of exciting experiences for all who come to see his marvels. The Genie, that imaginary figure, who can grant any wish however improbable, brings new romances into the lives of those who seek his services. Once again he accomplishes a master stroke this evening when the curtain rises on the seventh edition of CAMPUS THUNDER and the story of a small town girl's dream of ---
HOLLYWOOD, a fabulous town, the movie center of the world, a glamorous town, colorful, spectacular, a gay town, a sad town,-a town above all in the hearts of many Americans.
HOLLYWOOD, a town where anything can happen and usually does, a town of movie stars, a town of talented and industrious people, a lown of aspiring youngsters, a town of oldtirners. A town where thousands dream that one day their fame will echo. A town of great success, of reversals and disappointments.
HOLLYWOOD-what a town!
HOLLYWOOD-Sunset Boulevard, Hollywood and Vine, nite clubs, floor shows, gala premieres.
HOLLYWOOD-Big time, dream of every girl and boy,-a town of famous names: The Barry-mores, Laughton and Hardwicke, Bette Davis, Crosby and Hope, Louis B. Mayer and Ceci B. DeMille, dancers Gene Kelley, Astaire and Rogers and a host of others .....
And so from a street in Summerville, U.S.A., a young girl goes to Hollywood by way of strange circumstances to meet even stranger experiences. Here is a trip to that great world center out of which evolves a climax that only the Genie of CAMPUS THUNDER can enfold.
Let the thunder rumble and the lightning strike for from out of these flashes and rumblings comes another enhancing story of Hollywood-"real conventional, three dimensional, Hollywood, California!"

Here it was again! Campus Thunder '54 or the seventh show was in our midst. The saying goes, A lucky 7 is the sign of a hit. And so it was. We had no rehearsal hall, for our old theatre was sold. We again, as we did in the first edition, go back to rehearsing in old beat out buildings, but we again brought out a hit. It was the old Thunder returning with the outstanding costuming and scenery along with wonderful songs and dance routines.
Our program boasted the largest ever. It was enlarged to a 9" x 11" size with pictures of the show and cast.
The show concerned with the story of Hollywood, dealt with a girl from a small town who won a quiz program to go to Hollywood. Finding out the troubles of this famous city, she realized that there was more Hollywood in her own town than in the real famous city.
Stars of the show this year were: Dolores Ludka, coming up from a chorus girl and Sand Mehorter; co-starring were Dick Probst and Pauline Scinto, who by the way, stole the second half of the show in her "I'm A Duchness Now" song. Show this year kept to the story more than any other year.
Top go-getters in the show's song department were; "I've got the World in My Pocket", "Kinsey Girls" (for the Thunderettes) and "Pianola".
It was truly a Thunderettes' show this season, for they were the best of any Thunderette line so far and their dance routines were out of this world.
We again made contacts in hopes of taking the show on tour next year. Best of the Scenes were The Studio Lot, Sunset Boulevard Boudoir and the Raven done in terrific settings.
The seventh cast party was again held at Eichner's Restaurant with the liveliest cast ever singing songs until the wee, wee hours of the morning. Al Dickason received an Alarm Clock Radio from the cast.
