CAMPUS THUNDER '52

Five years ago Campus Thunder had its premiere in Bridgeport. In the fheafre program for that single performance Albert Dickason told the audience . . . "Ihis is the first . . , we hope that there will be more." And there have been more until now Campus Thunder has grown to be a tradition of the campus and the community and has gdtten to be known as "tops among college musicals,"

University productions with university students differ widely from Broadway productions. It is our aim to develop intelligence, understanding, and integrity of purpose in our students, to provide a training ground for people to conduct theatre work, and to provide Bridgeport with theatrical pleasure and amusement. And then there is always the miracle of the inspired amateur, without whom no art has a future.
